Each year the Capital Area Council of Churches sponsors the Annual Interfaith Memorial Service celebrating the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  This year the service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Ave., in Colonie.  The service starts at 7 pm.  We invite you and members of all congregations to this annual celebration.
Our speaker this year is the Reverend Emily McNeill an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, Executive of the Labor-Religion Coalition of New York State, and a leader in the Poor People’s Campaign. As usual, representatives from several faith communities will share readings or prayers from their tradition.
The offering received at the service is the primary fundraiser for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Fund. Last year three scholarships were awarded to high school seniors.
